You need to prop this up. Is Ink painting like Sumei I think it is called, ie do you do it with a brush or pen?
ReplyDeleteits watered down ink, pen, brush and most important - a twig, yes twig dipped into full strength ink, better than dip pen. if u work on easel you can let it drip down as it wishes or work flat if u don't like this. you can do it on wet paper for interesting effects. love drawing in ink as i said before it frees you up - you have to fly and accept what comes cuase you can't change it - except you can add bleach just you would ink with twig, brush etc. if you use parker blue black ink it bleaches beautifully and the paper sometimes bleaches especially if you're working on a coloured paper. learnt all this in the same watercolour class mentioned elsewhere.
